Did you know?

The Big Mac was invented in 1967 by McDonalds employee Jim Delligatti in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This fusion taco takes a classic all American burger and moves it south of the border. Packed with all the quintessential ingredients of a Big Mac, such as the special sauce, ground beef, dill pickles, and shredded lettuce, this warm tortilla taco is a savory and nutritious meal for a busy night. Enjoy it with a side of fries or top it off with a dollop of sour cream for a delicious new take on a classic!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium-size tortillas
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, garlic powder, oregano, and salt and pepper until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape into patties.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, and onion.
  5. To assemble the tacos, warm the tortillas in the same skillet or in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the patties in the tortillas and top with cheddar cheese, lettuce, pickles, and the mayonnaise-ketchup-onion mixture.
  7. Serve warm.

Add some extra love

Try adding jalapenos to the tacos for an extra kick of heat.
